The staff here are awesome. If a patient is respectful, the staff went out of their way. Special kudos to Nurses K and J on 300. They have tough working conditions, and do a great job. The food was good, and if I didn't like what was on the menu, I ordered a salad (incredibly good). The doctor saved my life (i was suicidal; she identified the cause as a rare reaction to a diabetes medication). The reason I only gave 3 stars is the poor communication. Admissions did not communicate with unit nurses. The cafeteria ignored requests for special meals (diabetic, keto, vegan). All staff members openly commented on how management was always negative and giving them a hard time. They really need to find a consultant to help the entire institution work together. If they find themselves understaffed, management would do well to ask how management can improve working conditions.

One of the better pysch hospitals. Staff is caring and nice. The psych Drs not so much. Dr. Raj was very rude and didn't seem to care about my opinion when we have been dealing with these issues for a long time and know what is needed. It's a good place if you have a pysch Dr on the outside.

We weren't given many options w the situation w a family member. I had a lot of anxiety about this place and they did nothing to help in that regard b/c they do not communicate w the family well at all, even the guardians of the patient. Our teen son did benefit from his time there and was kept safe. Admin staff is rude. I did also get the feeling they were milking my insurance as much as possible and that our kiddo could have come home sooner...but he had a breakthrough in therapy there as a result of his 9 day stay and so whatever that costs me it is worth it. Admins at front need to treat family nicer. Also if a disturbed individual pees the floor and announces it then someone needs to be sent right away to clean that up rather than act like nothing happened. I stepped in pee left my a patient being involuntarily admitted at the front desk. Front desk woman is extremely rude and unhelpful. They act as if we do this everyday and know all the procedures...we don't, they aren't all in the folder handed out either. They don't do much to help with the trust level...the CEO of the facility needs to be on top of that aspect as well as communication about what is going on with a minor patient, the length of stay and justification for such a stay to the parents. They do need to be investigated for possibly extending stays for financial gain over patient benefit. If a patient is not a threat to self or others they should send home on an outpatient treatment program rather than not communicate and keep them there dragging out the process of discharge which they are very vague about plans for discharge and after care. I was told I delayed discharge b/c I denied a medication b/c I wanted the prescribing psychiatrist to answer some questions first. I trusted the process but they need to answer questions, especially where minors are concerned. The teen said the food was okay. A Buddhist was teaching kids yoga and chants as part of their daily routine....weird....also against some people's faith...they might want to rethink that portion of things...their own rules forbid talking religion, sex, or politics...yet a Buddhist is pushing Buddhism?

My 26 year old son thinks it's better than being sick and homeless on the streets. At least he's getting meds, a warm bed, and safety from his illness. If you're looking for luxury and to be treated like royalty this isn't the place for you.

Im 17 and I went for a week and honestly helped so much. I loved my therapist and she helped me so much. And the staff is actually really nice.

This place saved my life. I'd had lost touch with reality and they adjusted my meds, took me off a few and added a few. I spent the last week there. The MH Techs that have made the most significant challenges in my life easier to cope with are: Mrs. Reshanda, Mr. Joe, Mr. Mike. Nurses were awesome too: Mrs. Joyce, Mrs. Debra. If I ever have to go back I most definitely will!

They were respectful, helpful, and courteous. Their inpatient program is helpful if you're looking for back up and support while dealing with mental issues.

Im going to be honest there was some good in there but if you plan admitting yourself make sure they accept your insurance if not you will have to pay $2-3g out of pocket. Yes during my time i made new friends. The nurses and staff were caring and nice did some group therapy its a small unit but i did some things i never done before it got me thinking so much and learn some coping skills and teach others give them HOPE. Make sure to take your meds and eat well (food is amazing good even snack time i never ate a big meal before.) Make sure you ask your doctor to go outside if not you wont be able to feel the outside air trust me i couldnt go outside all i had was a crack on the door for some air. they do have smoke breaks which is good for smokers but non smokers they have to ask there doctor for some air. I was admitted out because my insurance dont take it. if the doctor see you are not getting better and you cant pay it they can hold you even if you voluntary trust me i thought you can get out easy but here its not like that they can hold you till you get out no longer then 2 weeks and you have no choice but to pay. The one i dont like is no human contact (means no hugs no high fives no hand shakes) i learn some people want to be hug we are so use to being touch by others that its stress relieve but with no human contact it makes an urge that is killing you on the inside. Yes you will make new friends and have time to think why you are there. Remember this isnt a vacation this is healing place. Theres not much to do watch tv for a little and take naps. While I was there i did a lot of exercises to pass the time instead sleeping all day. ☆THINK before you voluntary admit yourself here and make sure they accept your insurance or you will be in DEEP trouble once you voluntary admit your self you CANT get out till the Doctor says your OKAY even if your insurance is NOT accepted they can HOLD you there against your WILL till they see you are BETTER no longer then 2 weeks.☆

Good doctors and nice nurses. Except the night nurses. The night nurses were as useful as a white guy on a basketball team... One time when I was there a girl was getting picked on and got punched and no one did anything (however I did try to protect her since I'm an ex MMA fighter and I did comfort her...) I mean the therapy helped a lot...I was diagnosed with mood disorder and PTSD.
